Strawberry Cake
Bottom is a simple Vanilla Dough, covered with cooked german vanilla pudding and fresh strawberries. I poured "tortenguss" over the strawberries and decorated it with fresh whipped cream. "Tortenguss" is from Germany and especially to cover fruits on cakes. It is unsweetend and has a very light fruit flavor.you can add sugar to make it as sweet as you want to. It will have the texture of Jello-o. It comes in "red" and "clear"
The cake is beautiful.
i could eat off the picture i love strawberries well done
Sounds wonderful & looks great!!
That looks wonderful. Is the Tortenguss something you buy like you would Jello or is there a recipe you use to make it? It sound great.
YUMMY!!!
Tortenguss is a powder, which you put in water and cook for a few seconds. It get's firm very quickly. In the fridge in about 10 minutes. @all Thanks for the nice comments. the cake was a hit and it was gone even before they cut the babyshower cake :-)
