Denim Pocket Birthday Cake
I saw a version of this cake on the Food Network's show "Here comes the cake". It was from the Oklahoma Sugar Arts show...I thought it was so cute so I tried to replicate a smaller version of it for my best friend's birthday.

I too noticed that cake on TV. Yours looks great! Is it fondant painted blue? Please tell us your technique!
I was trying to "tint" white fondant and it just wasn't coming out the color I wanted....so i covered the cake in the blue I had then painted the cake with gel paste....I liked the effect...makes it look more like denim.
