Big Pink Cupcake

Big Pink Cupcake on Cake Central

My daughter Madison wanted a "big pink cupcake" for her second birthday and that is what she got!! The best part about this cake was that I did the bottom in chocolate and the top in strawberry and the combo was to die for. I used a glass mixing bowl and 9 in. rounds. My favorite cake yet. I am just a mom at home with 4 small kids, cakes are something I do at like 2 in the morning when everyone else is sleeping just cause I know my kids love it!!

I love it, really cute & stylish. I think girls of ALL ages would like a Big Pink Cupcake for their birthday, Madison's right! Made me smile.

this cake is awesome, did you have to sculpt it any? I would love to make this cake. How hard was it to cut? You did an awesome job, and I do everything at night too. Two small kids.

Thanks Terri. I wouldn't consider is hard...I did not sculpt it at all. I usd the Pampered Chef mixing bowl and baked two domes in it...then just cut the thickest part off of one and added to the top of the other to make it nice and tall. it was, winkwink, a piece of cake!!
