Chocolate Autumn Wedding

Chocolate Autumn Wedding on Cake Central

I did this for my favorite aunt who finally found her prince charming!! 18, 14, 10 & 6 inch rounds with chocolate buttercream--some chocolate cake and some white. Silk florals. You can see the assembled cake in my other photos.

Thanks so much for the nice comments! I just used the regular basketweave tip #47. For the vertical "stripes" I actually piped two lines one on top of the other before doing the horizontals. I think that gave it a little more depth.

That's a great tip about making double horizontal lines. I'm going to have to try that. Your basketweave is very lovely. I can't imagine how much time this took. Love it. :D

Actually I left out a word--the vertical lines were the ones I overpiped. Don't really know if it would make any difference which you did, though, that's just how I did it.
