So what is your secret for use of the Wilton checkerboard pan. I haven't tried mine yet because I heard it can be such a hassle.

Haha... secret. hmmm... lots of alcohol when using the pans. The pans are the biggest pain in the butt. I used them again today and was very frustrated. MY "secret" if you want to call it that is to put the cake batter in gallon size ziplock bags. Snip a corner off and use them as piping bags to fill the rings. You kind of have to go quickly because the batter will begin to seep under the ring into the next ring. Despite the frustration and grief, they always amaze everyone.

Hmm... neon food coloring?... These colors are just the normal Wilton paste food colorings: "pink" (which turns a hot pink when you use a lot and the green I used "lemon yellow" and "leaf green" I just eye-balled it until it turned the neon shade I liked. Wilton MIGHT made a 4 pack of neon colors tho, I think I saw it.
