Super Duper CUTE! I love it! I'm glad we got to see it :D I would love to make one of these; your cake is an inspiration! :)

Thank you, Girlcake. To make the tree I twisted sections of 20 gage wire into branches then joined several of them together to make limbs. The base is four pieces of coat hange wire. I covered the top part of the branches with gumpaste, let it dry then floral taped the limbs to the coat hanger trunk. After I got all the limbs hanging the way I wanted, I covered them in gumpaste. I used curved tweezers to imprint the trunk & modeled a face on the front of the trunk.

Second part of tree directions, Once everthing was dry, I airbrushed brown & black. I left a hollow place in the middle of the trunk, put a dowel in the board leaving about 2 inches sticking up and filled the hole with gumpaste and stuck it onto the board. I had to go back with a paint brush and paint a little of the trunk. Hope this helps you.

Thank you. I have a great time making this cake. The broomstick is just a dowel covered with wood impressed fondant and the broom part is gumpaste formed in a clay gun. The witch was hand modeled and I put a wire where her arms would be and let dry. After she dried, I attached the wires to the broomstick and freeformed arms over the wire. It was really easy as I have no art skills.

Pumpkin is foam so I had to flatten a little to get a better shape. I usually use the two bundt cake method to do pumpkins. And yes, I did win!! Then my husband carried the cake 2 blocks in the rain and ruined it. I'm hoping to be able to salvage something.
