This is my first attempt at a buttercream wedding cake. (I usually like to work with fondant) I used an impression mat to make the lace on the buttercream. I found the spray roses at Sam's Club for 12.00. This is a little practice one, but I think the roses make the cake.
Very pretty
Very nice!
Great job! Yes, roses just look great every time. I agree - I much prefer working with fondant!
Thanks!!!!! :D I hope I am not sounding bad, but I am thrilled with how this came out in real life. Fresh roses are just so incredible....what bride would not love them stacked high adorning her cake.
I really like the elegant beauty of this cake, the roses do make it so special :)
great job on the cake
very pretty!! you did a wonderful job :)
I love it! How did you get your roses ( between the tiers) to stack so evenly? I still havent done one where they wanted them filling the whole space. Did you use floral foam?
Beautiful~
believe it or not, I just put wax paper down and just lay the roses one their sides, one on top of the other. I just tried to arrange them. I did not use floral foam for the top bouquet...I had a ball of fondant, made holes in it with a skewer, and then poked the roses in. The roses lasted overnight, so I know that if this cake were to sit for a few hours in air conditioning, the roses would stay.
Beautiful!
