I made this for my dd and her friend both pirates of the carib. fans I had fun with this and it was easier than I thought. Choc cake made in loaf pan using hump of cake top for the lid on cake board. Leather straps and clasp are made from tootsie rolls (Ilove working with tootsie rolls lol) covered in choc buttercream with candy coins etc.

Wow, l really like the way you made the icing look like wood too, this looks great...lots of sparkle and shine!

ty dixie I used the icing smoother comb but used the side with the little picks on it for the wood look
