Here finally is my first ever truck cake. Thanks to EVERYONE here on CC who helped me with it including those who didn't know they helped. It was a big hit. I learned a lot with this cake and learned how to do better next time I make a truck.

Super! That is so cool! My son just bought a truck-could you share how you shaped the truck? He would get a kick out of this for his birthday in January!

I used a 12x18 in pan and cut along the 12 side (next time I will do the 18 in side so I can have a longer front end). I set that piece on a piece of appropriately sized foil wrapped plywood. I then cut, at an angle the "cab" of the truck and attached that with icing. Next time I will make that bigger as well so I can do an extended or quad cab. For the bed, I cut out a "well" leaving the sides and a tailgate!
