Miller Lite Bottle Cake

Miller Lite Bottle Cake on Cake Central

I made this cake for a friend's 30th Birthday as a surprise for her. The glare from the flash makes the labels look like the colors bled, but they actually did not. Cake stood about 15" tall. I hand painted the "labels" with watered down Wilton Coloring onto Fondant. I also used Luster Dust over the entire cake to give it a glossy finish... the labels actually looked metallic in person.

Looks very nice. She must have been happy. How did you get the cake to stand up. I tried a baby bottle like this one and it fell apart.

I baked the bottom of the cake in one of those large chicken stock cans and the neck part I baked in an asparagus pan! I put royal icing on the bottom so it would stick to the cakeboard and not slide around... and I put a wooden dowel through the middle of the whole thing to keep it straight. I also used a regular butter cake mix and a pound cake mix together to make it more dense to stand up better.
