Candyland Cake
Chocolate Cake w/ buttercream icing. Starburst trail, Marshmallows, Raspberry Cream Cheese Mint Hearts, Peppermint discs, Gumdrops, Cherry BAlls, Dum Dums, Milk duds, Choc Stix, Ice Cream cone Castle, and lots of sprinkles. Got the inspiriation from Taste of Home Magazine. Two girls share a bday party and they picked this out.
That is so cute!!!! You did a great job!!!
I love the fact that you used real candy instead of fondant. Great job!
beautiful !!!
I got the same magazine- I'm making this same cake for my niece's birthday! he he..GREAT JOB!! I'm real excited to make mine too!
Thahks! It was fun and actually really easy to do! The toughest part was unwrapping all of the individual pieces of Starburt and the peppermints.
That is the sweetest cake I have ever seen! :D
It didn't take as long is I thought. I layed out on the back of the pan where I was putting the trail so I knew how many pieces to use, then unwrapped one at a time and positioned the trail. After that you just stick candy everywhere. The gumdrops are on toothpicks.
GREAT JOB. I saw this on the back of the TOH magazine, and can't wait to make it for her birthday, but alas I have to wait until January. How long did it take you to make?
I meant my daughter's birthday,
Very sweet!
what a fun cake, great job!
Really adorable! love the use of all the candy :)
THat looks like so much fun!!
Thank you! It was fun to make, but gives me a stomachache thinking about them eating it!
Didn't even have to read the label to have this bring back some good memories. You did a terrific job - thank you for sharing. (Yes - I'll bet they had a good sugar buzz going).
