Ugly Wedding Cake!!!
I can't begin to describe the awful time I had. This was a cake due at the same time as my last-minute move. (too long to explain-but had to move abruptly). So of course as I need things I am having to dig through boxes to find it. This was for a wedding of 35 ppl. The leaves were her wedding colors. She originally wanted to whole cake to be that color-I talked her out of it. :) Anyway, so here it is-the cake from Ugly Land!!!

Oh it's not at all ugly!! You did the right thing by talking her out of that color, white is much more elegant. Your scrolls are perfect and I love the little sparkly roses! Two thumbs up ;-D ;-D
How can you say this is ugly? You did a fantastic job with or without your circumstances. I LOVE the roses and your icing is so smooth. Is it buttercream or fondant? Great work!

I think it's very pretty...simple yet elegant. I like just the touch of tirquoise. I think the whole cake in that color would have been overwhelming. What you did was perfect.
this is definitely NOT an ugly cake! its smooth, neat, even -i could go on. i'm glad you talked her out of that much color. great job!
Don't be so hard on yourself, I think that cake is a very pretty cake. You did a very nice job on it and if I had ordered this cake from you, I would have been very proud of the cake. Very smooth and very pretty. DiannaSue
You have my sympathies trying to do this out of packing boxes - but, wow, you sure pulled it off. Its fantastic (good for you for talking her out of the 'leaf' colored cake).
I think it is very pretty! Simple but pretty!
