8" madeira,fondant covered, with fondant rope. Made under 11hrs.But undercharged.. i don't like making cakes for pple i know, can never charge without short-changing myself

I love that rope. Mine never seem to work out when I try to do that. I hear ya about the undercharging. I've gotta get over that myself! :)

Thanks Jadak, the trick with making ropes is to start with soft fondant, that has not been exposed at all.then try to roll the 2 strips as equal as possible both in lenght and in thickness. And do not aim to cover in one go, i did this tiny 8" twice and smothen the joining as much as possible so it looked like one continuos rope. Hope this helps.
