I tint piping gel black, it is practically impossible to get bc that dark. I filled in the elephants with tip #13. And my secret to the writing...I go on Microsoft word and print out (using curlz font) what I want to write on the cake. Then I trace the letters with black marker so I can flip the paper over and see the backwards letters through. I then place wax paper over the paper (backwards letters showing) and trace with black piping gel all of the letters. Then, take the wax paper and flip it over
lightly go over all the letters. Carefully pick up the wax paper, and voila! It is on the cake. Then I have to pipe the letters again with black piping gel. Sorry if that was confusing!
Absolutely Adorable!! I couldn't find one thing wrong with this cake if I tried....which I wouldn't! Great cake!! I want someone to have a baby so I can make a cutsie baby shower cake too!! :D
The design and colors make an absolutely precious cake! Beautiful work! (And thank you for sharing with us how you do your lettering. I look forward to giving your technique a try.) :)
