Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower on Cake Central

This is meant to be a cake topper. It's made completely out of royal icing and a lot of patience! I did it just to see if I could...fun!

Update: Many have asked for the instructions to creating this Eiffel Tower. In an effort to respond to all of those numerous requests, I have created a file link on my website. Go to www.confectioneista.com and click the Eiffel Tower picture on the "About" page and download the instructions. Enjoy!

are you the same one who was making one as a topper for her daughters wedding cake? This is beautifully done and very clean!

I made this following the directions from the American Cake Decorating issue of October/November 2006. I'd be happy to pass along the directions if there's no infringement issues.

And, no I'm not the mom doing this for her daughter's wedding. But kudos to her! I saw hers that she drafted on her own - awesome! As for the time it took, it was about 3 days to allow for drying. Actually, it's a lot easier than it looks to make. The directions were very good. The "patience" part was actually putting the pieces together, kind of like doing a house of cards...if you mess up, try, try again. It's worth it!

Come on now... I've seen the incredible, beautiful work a lot of you do on your cakes and you don't think you could do this? I think you can...I think you can...I think you can... ;-D

Good news! I can pass along the instructions via email or PM. Probably email would be best since there will be pics attached. So just let me know if you want the instructions.

Absolutely fantastic, you must have a steady hand. I would love to have a go sometime. Ihaven't seen the magazine in Australia yet. Could you pm me too please

This is so beautiful!! You indicated you wouldn't mine sharing instructions. My daughter-in-law collects eiffel towers and if I could make this for her birthday it would be awesome. Her birtday's in november so I'd have lots of time to practice. [email protected] THANKS

I love this. I would love it if you could still PM me the directions. I have an eiffel tower cake next month that this would be perfect for. Fabulous job!
