Peony Wedding Cake

Peony Wedding Cake on Cake Central

Small dummy wedding cake, 6" & 4" with GP peonies. I used my clay gun for the first time to make the stripes. Patterned after a cake I saw recently in a magazine.

This is undoubtably the best presentation for your peonies!! How did you make them? Please pm me if you care to share

Oh this is such a beautiful little cake!! What cutters did you use for the peonys? They are very pretty!! I love seeing them on cakes.

Thanks so much for all the kind words!!! I used the peony cutter set from Sugarcraft.com which comes with instructions. I always make the first couple of layers of petals a darker colour, then gradually add white GP to the colour to lighten it for the outer layers of petals. Seems to look more realistic that way.

Very very pretty cake. Peonies are such beautiful flowers and you really do them justice here. The whole color scheme is so nicely balanced.
