Since Godiva doesn't seem willing to share her secrect on the lettering, I am going to guess that it is stenciling done with a luster dust! Too bad she doesn't feel like sharing since that what the website is all about!!!
I thought I was being cutesy with that reply...My plans were to build a pictorial how to with this cake, but I have not had a chance to bake anything at all. I'm sorry you felt that way MrsMissey. And it's not a stencil, it's actually a silk screen that I had made at art store. I'll be posting more details when I have time for it. Thank you all for you kind comments.
MrsMissey, lighten up, Godiva's response seemed like a 'jokey-reply' to me. Maybe my sense of humor is more KEEN than others but we still need not be offended. I'm glad you did share your method, Godiva, I was also going to try the stencil-approach. Still, both suggestions seem like great approach to this beautiful cake. Thank you both!
I would like the to know how you made the filling & fondant also. How long was the entire process? It's am aawesome likeness, but I'm not sure what a "new world translation is". Who did you make it for?
It's a bible I made for some friends...The filling is like a custard based cream, that is then whipped with butter...You can easily find a recipe either here or online...The fondant is pre-made chocolate fondant, that was rolled out and then cut to shape...
No...I do not refrigerate once covered...The fondant pretty much preserves all thats inside much longer...This cake I filled the day before I believe...
Great job Dodiva!! I look forward to the day I become 1/16th as good as this. This looks more like a bible than, my real bible. God bless your hands, your mind & creativity. :top hat:
Godiva, great job! I own that Bible too. Mine is large print reference. That would be a great cake to make for a going away party for C.O. Could I get instructions. My email address is [email protected]
Will you tell me what color you used for the pages and letters? I was trying to make a gold for a cake I did for my Pastor yesterday, and it all just came out yellow. You did an awaesome job. I would really love to attempt this someday.
I think this is amazing, well done! Could you pm me on how to get this shape, his would be a perfect cake for my mother-in-law. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
This made me do a double take. Yea, mine is on the table. Could you please send me the instructions so I can use it on our next pioneer picnic cake please. [email protected] thanks in advance

You've done a great job here. I've got one just as sweet without the frosting! If we open it up, what will we find at the 83rd Psalm, verse 18? The truth is truly in your heart and it shows in the things you do in life!! Keep it up!! ;-D

Your cake is great. Can you say a bit more about the silk screen. What type of store makes them, and how is it transposed onto the cake?
INCREDIBLE!!!! My daughter said "This is AWSOME"!!!! I'd love to know how you did the lettering, a sister in Mass.
Ooops, my daughter was singed in instead of me, sorry, that last comment was from me :D
