This was just a quick design for a cake I wanted to send in to my husbands office. It was the Butter Vanilla Pound cake (form CC) with a lemon buttercream filling and a layer of raspberry sauce . Next time I will only brush on the sauce, I only use a couple of TBS., but it was still starting to ooze out while I was trying to crumb coat it. I wasn't happy with the Buttercream, buttercr, it was very grainy this time. I am going back to the Moussleine Buttercream (like an Italian Meringue , I think). TFL
