This was my final cake from the last Wilton class. The icing is a combination of buttercream with fondant top and swags. I used artificial flowers. I was pretty proud of myself that I could creat such a cake after only beginning a few months before.
This is the only time I have done them, but I hear that they are more flexible if you mix in some gum-tex withthe fondant. Also, I would roll the fondant thin so that it is more flexible. I used piping gel as the "glue" for the drapes. Good luck!

Your cake is beautiful. I'm getting ready to start course III, I hope my final cake turns out as beautiful.
Very pretty...I am getting ready to try fondant drapes for the first time, any tips?
