Shopping bag made of gumpaste. The "AP" are not edible. They are the initials of the birthday girl.
Not sure who to give credit to. Someone gave me a picture of this cake and asked me to duplicate it. Thanks to whomever you are!

My first attempt at a purse cake. The person I made this for wanted a simple coach design with not a lot of carving or detail (due to cost). So, this is what I came up with. Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing covered in fondant with fondant accents.

Hi! Do you have a tutorial for these shoes. Just love them!!
misslouise 1/24/13 at 9:51am
Hi Babyluv! I unfortunately don't. But I did buy new shoes, washed them, covered them in saran wrap, traced the sole with parchment paper and used that as a template. Then I laid the gumpaste on top of the shoe (still covered in saran wrap) and let dry for maybe 4 days at least. For the heel, I sort of just eyeballed the actual heel until I got the shape I wanted (stuck a lollipop stick in the middle of the log) and let it dry separately. Did the same with the strap, then I glued them all together with royal icing. Hope that helps! :)
