This cake was for a Red Hat Club Luncheon. They did not want a whole cake with red icing (although kids love the stained mouth look, adults don't!) so this was my alternative. Ribbons and flowers were made from the candy clay recipe.

I just made this one today
I used my own fantasy to design the bag.
It is my first bag, but I am satisfied with it so far. I used fondant for the whole covering and I used coper dust powder to paint the LV details.

The flower I made a few weeks...

For this birthday, my daughter liked my idea of a summer bonnet. The brim is a pizza pan turned over, and the cake was baked in a pyrex bowl. This was my first attempt at basketweave. The white base it is sitting on is a large cutting board; my...

Hi! Do you have a tutorial for these shoes. Just love them!!
misslouise 1/24/13 at 9:51am
Hi Babyluv! I unfortunately don't. But I did buy new shoes, washed them, covered them in saran wrap, traced the sole with parchment paper and used that as a template. Then I laid the gumpaste on top of the shoe (still covered in saran wrap) and let dry for maybe 4 days at least. For the heel, I sort of just eyeballed the actual heel until I got the shape I wanted (stuck a lollipop stick in the middle of the log) and let it dry separately. Did the same with the strap, then I glued them all together with royal icing. Hope that helps! :)

No sorry I just free handed it and added cake crumbs where needed. Thanks
