I always wanted to make a cake to match this platter. I finally did it. I got the plate at a Disneyland shop a couple of years ago. I've always loved the color combination. Cake written on with edible marker. The polka dot plate underneath was a fun find at Michales awhile back. Wasn't sure what catagory so I put it in whimsical.

First want to thank jalis4joe for the total inspiration for this cake. I loved hers and wanted to give it a try! Wasn't sure where to post --Whimsical or Fantasy--I think it fits. Bow and cake are fondant with hand painted sunflowers.

Pinkish and purple fantasy flowers with black leaves and stem (50/50 fondant gumpaste) on 8" x 10" fondant covered. Cake was inspired by Perfect-Wedding-Day,com/image-files/retro-wedding-cakes. Thanks for the inspiration! Thought this would maybe fit under Whimsical cakes.

My niece gave me a darling card for making a cake for her. The card had such a cute design that I saved it so that I could make a cake like it someday. This is the cake I made to match the card. (The cake is a fake cake covered in fondant. I wanted to be able to have it displayed on my counter, for fun, in my cute new cake pedistal). I loved how the cake turned out and love my new pedistal!

Same large bowl of cherries with new littel bowl of cherries. The first large bowl had cherries made with black shoestring licorice the second smaller bowl had cherry stems made with red shoestring licorice. I'm not sure which one I like better. Cherries are made from brownies and dipped in red candy melts. Love how they turned out!

M. E. Bowl of Cherries I've been sooo excited to make this cake. I think it took me 10 hours. I finished it at about 4:00 a.m. this morning. I love how it turned out!!! I think this one will be hard for me to cut. But I'll always have the
pictures. Enjoy drooling, I mean looking! Thanks!

I put this teacup (cupcake) on top of my wedge cake. Made it look extra fun! Chocolate cupcake covered with blue mmf , frosted with chocolate bc. White candy melt steam and snowflake sprinkle decoration. Thanks to EmmyLizzy for the cup idea! The cake wedge I showed by itself earlier. Gave to my daughters pre-school teacher for Christmas gift. She loved it couldn't say enough. Got a call as soon as I got home from another parent who say the cake. She wanted to order a birthday cake. How fun!

This is a cake I did for Halloween a couple of years ago. It is like another cake I have in "My Photos" but has different colors. It is an 8 inch 4 layer cake, with a gumpaste candle and decorations. The black flowers are silk.

I love the little wedge of cake in the top left hand corner of Cake Central's home page. That is the inspiration for these cake wedges. These are my interperation of them in mmf. I've been wanting to do them for a long time! Latter I added polka dots to them for a friends granddaughter 1 yr. birthday. I'll have to submit those pic's latter! I don't have them yet. Thanks for looking!
