I don't choose the themes for these....I just do what is asked if I can. The bottom cake is fruit cake and the top is a sponge with vanilla buttercream filling. The topper can be removed as it is created onto a cake card and attached with royal icing. No people on this one! My goodness! The butterflies are done using Patchwork cutters and I cut the middle out and piped royal icing onto the cake to stick the wings into and so not leaving them flat. A wedding cake with a difference I think!

This is the funniest cake I have been asked to do in a while. I had free reign on this which is always good. I did the animals which were requested and hopefully it will get the bride's approval. The sheep wool is royal icing, the rest is fondant/sugarpaste with CMC (tylose/tylopur) The top tier is a dummy so that it can be kept intact. The other cakes are fruit at the bottom and two tiers sponge.

One of these gentlemen is from Scotland and the other is from Finland, hence the flags to represent their countries. I used butterfly, horseshoe, heart and flower embossers on the pasted boards and dusted each with a pastel powder before going over the whole board with snowflake lustre dust. I then crushed some Magic Sparkles into a fine glitter and painted each embossed shape with a little glue then sprinkled the sparkles onto them. With a diamante rhinestone chain to trim each cake, it sparkled!

I was asked to incorporate the bride and grooms passion for mountaineering on the snowy capped mountains. The other two tiers show the groom's undying love for his blushing bride. This was good fun.
