This is a confetti/French Vanilla cake with an Irish-Cream buttercream filling and icing under the Satin Ice vanilla fondant. I've decided I am not adept at teh "ruffle." This is my last course as I have taken the Fondant/ Gumpaste class, an I live too far away from a large city to have anything else on offer :( . Thanks for looking and any suggestions are most welcome.

This isn't my first "present" cake, but it is my first cake for Course 3. It's a Rainbo Bit/French Vanilla cake with French Vanilla buttercream filling and icing under the fondant. I used a white fondant that I've never used before, and I was NOT happy with it. I won't ever use it again. I hope I salvaged the cake as best I could, given how horrible the fondant was. This was a fun cake to make, though I wished we'd had more time in class! Thanks for looking!

Our instructor had us bring cupcakes, instead of a cake, to the third class, in which we made the clowns. I was OK with how my clowns turned out, but a "cupcake-tastrophe" in the car, which resulted in the cupcake carrier lid falling off the seat and onto the cupcakes, was very upsetting. If those clown heads hadn't made the cupcakes too high to put the carrier lid onto the carrier, things would have been fine! Live and learn!

This is my final cake for the Wilton Fondant and Gumpaste class. I liked how the fatasy flowers came out, but I wasn't very happy with my rope border - too thick and a darker pink than I'd intended.

This is my final cake for Wilton course two - loved learning the basketweave and how to make the birds/flowers. Would love help with flower arranging!

This is my first cake from the first Wilton course. We were extremely rushed for time, so I wasn't 100% happy with how it came out - at least I learned how to do the piping gel transfer!

This is my course one final cake. The bow frustrated me by flopping over!
