This cake I was trying to do an edible image and it tore all to pieces trying to get it off and so I wanted the picture any way so I free-handed the flag and pole. It was going to a charity that our cake club gives to every month.

I was just trying to brush up on my skills and I really liked brush embroidery in class and didn't want to lose it. I also thought I would practice my rose. I need some help there. Thanks for looking.

This is my first time to make one of these. I thought they looked fun. I had used Chocolate chips both mini and reg. size and they didn't show up the picture, but they were there. they were the seeds and w/o them showing up it looks like a seedless watermelon. The coloring came from Strawberry jello. I just added the dry jello to a white cake mix and mixed as normal.

I was just practicing some of all my techniques, but really trying to focus on fondant on this one. I hadn't been decorating for a few months and I was afraid I was getting a little rusty. I guess I don't have a lot to worry about. Just keep working at it and practice makes perfect. thanks for looking
