3 tiers of vanilla sponge cake filled with buttercream and jam and covered with marzipan and sugarpaste. Modelling paste used for the drapes and the red roses were made using red flower paste and then dusted for an even deeper colour.

The picture doesn't do justice to how deep each tier was - 5". The bottom tier alone weighed over 8kg. Bottom and 3rd tiers with a diamond pattern with silver dragee at each intersection; 2nd and top tiers plain, but with silver monograms on the...

Rolled ribbon roses and whimsical ribbons - all made from sugar - decorate this 3 tier wedding cake. I've also uploaded a photo of it with the basset hound topper that the bride and groom provided.

This was for a wedding with a peacock feathers theme, at the absolutely incredible Blenheim Palace. Design based on a couple of cakes the bride had seen on the internet, so I'm afraid I don't know who to credit with the original.

I've done this design before, but I always like to take a pic of my cakes! 12", 10" and 8" cakes with 7" pillars and a styrofoam castle topper, to which I've added pink glitter on the turrets.

Unfortunately, the florist hadn't arrived at the venue when we delivered the cake, so the only photos I have are without the fresh flower topper. :o( I'm sure the bride will get a good pic and let me have a copy, though! 6" lemon sponge with lemon...

Another cake dummy for the forthcoming wedding fair. I love these Jem butterfly cutters, but they were SO fiddly!!! The paste I was using didn't help - when I used another brand for the white ones, it was a little easier (although still a PITA!...

What a coincidence that I had two wedding cake orders on the same day, for the same cake (just different colours). The red is 7", 9", 11" and the pink is 6", 8", 10" - all vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream, covered with marzipan and...

Here's another cake for the wedding fair tomorrow. I haven't named this cake yet!! ;o) My wonderful best friend bought me the trim for this cake... I've been yearning to do a cake with 'bling' trim for years.... I am totally in love with a diamante...

This was an experiment to see if I could recreate the unusual 'feathers' wedding cakes I've seen. 10", 7" and 4" polystyrene dummies covered with sugarpate and hand-cut wafer paper for decoration, then sprayed with pearl lustre. Not...
