I received a call this morning to make a last minute 16th birthday cake. Her Dad was just diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago, so with all that has been going on , Mom had forgotten her birthday. I hope it made her smile!!

This is my version of dressing up a single layer sheet cake style. Buttercream with cornelli lace, fondant flowers, butterflies, and pearls. First time doing the cornelli lace, not perfect by any means, but still I'm pleased with the over all...
