My daughter's class studied bugs this year, so that was the inspiration for this cake. Niki specifically requested that the bugs look real so I did my best. I might have gone a little crazy with the details, lol! :)

I made this cake for the staff at my daughter's school. The bible is Chocolate Mocha Cake, the stack of papers and coffee mug are French Vanilla Cappiccino Cake and the apple is Rice Krispies Treats and a gumpaste tulip. TFL.

My daughter asked me to make a cake for her class to celebrate the end of school. Her class studied penguins this year and Niki often told me that Mr. D was a penguin teacher, so that's our theme! The three standing books have "R" on them to represent "Reading, wRiting and aRithmitic", and of course everyone's name is on the cake. School colours are red and white. 10" chocolate cake with classic chocolate buttercream, the books and the penguin are vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream. TFL.
