This is only my third cake, so I was quite pleased. My only disappointment was that I'd done a lovely bookworm but it got tainted with black sugarpaste (it seems to get everywhere!) so I didn't use it.

This was the biggest cake I've ever done. I had to complete it after sorority recruitment so I didn't have as much time to do the detail work. I also had issues with the stacking. Overall, I was pleased with the cake.

My daughter's class studied bugs this year, so that was the inspiration for this cake. Niki specifically requested that the bugs look real so I did my best. I might have gone a little crazy with the details, lol! :)

I made this cake for the staff at my daughter's school. The bible is Chocolate Mocha Cake, the stack of papers and coffee mug are French Vanilla Cappiccino Cake and the apple is Rice Krispies Treats and a gumpaste tulip. TFL.
