I saw this emroidered applique, and had to make it into a cookie! Standard sugar cookie with glace icing.

Inspired by the popular quilt pattern first introduced in the 1880's, I made these as a trial run for a relative's birthday next week. Just trying out different color schemes. Iced with glace.

I saw this cute little guy on a handmade wallhanging, and thought he would make a great cookie! I couldn't decide what color to make him, so I did one for each color on the colorwheel. I used sanding sugars for the ears and nose, and mini-M&M's for...

I made these cookies as part of a cookie swap with a bunch of very talented decorators I've met on Flickr. I got the idea for the cookies from a t-shirt, made a template, and hand cut the cookies. Iced with glace.

I didn't have the time to decorate these when I did the Groovy 60's cookies, but finally got around to them tonight. I wished my wrist wasn't killing me, or I would've used a stiffer icing for the outlines. Oh well. They were still fun to do!

I made these for a pirate themed party my husband and kids were going to. They're pretty simple....which was what I was after.

globalgatherings was swamped with Valentine's cookies, so she asked if I could do some 60's theme cookies for a woman's 60th birthday. What fun I had doing these! My sons are partial to the lava lamps, but I had the most fun doing the tye dye peace...

Anytime I can come up with a design where I can do piping, it's a plus! I like that there is room in this design to pipe a message, even though I chose not to do one of any of these.

When I was drawing up this design, my son looked at it and said, "That's going to be a tough one to cut out, isn't it?" I thought he'd be correct, but it actually wasn't too bad! The noses are mini-M&M's.

These were made for a bridal shower, using the brides colors. I used food color pens for all the numbers on the card, while the BINGO was done in glace icing. I know the packaging leaves something to be desired, but I was working with a budget!

Just trying out a new cutter that I recently bought from ecrandal.com! I'll need a bit of practice to get this cookie decorated properly (my husband critiqued them, so I know what I need to work on!) but they were still a lot of fun to do. Glace...

I drew up this design after seeing some flower pot cookies, and a beautiful heart shaped rose cookie. I really enjoyed working on this design, and I'm pretty happy with how the cookies turned out. I hope the details show up okay (photography isn't my...

After making the faberge style Easter eggs last year, I decided to make Valentine's hearts with lots of piping this year! I didn't budget nearly enough time, so I was a bit rushed, but I like how they came out (for the most part).

I saw a poster of a series of howling coyotes, and decided they had to be made into cookies! I hand cut the cookies, using a template. Iced in a glace icing.

I forgot I had this design until I came across it this weekend. I had some leftover dough, and was able to get these three cookies made. Lots of fun! The design came from a homemade Christmas card.

I made an assortment of cookies for globalgatherings, and these are my favorites. I hand cut the cookies, which are approximately 5"x3". Lots of fun to decorate. My sons and I agree that they remind us of Dr. Suess....though that hadn't entered my...

mysweetconfetions posted some chocolate covered Nutter Butter reindeer cookies last year, and I thought they were adorable. I only had the regular Oreo molds, so I had to slightly modify her design, and these were the result. I made them for a...

I was asked by CC member globalgatherings to do some cookies for an attorney who was retiring. These are what I came up with. The vanilla sugar cookies are approximately 5" long and 2.5" wide, iced in a glaze. I made my own template, and...

I saw a greeting card with some cute owls, and this is kinda what they looked like. I used a 3" round cutter, and the point of a heart cutter to cut out the ears. I gently placed the ears into place, then baked as usual. The eyes are yellow...

I just wanted to do some simple cookies, with as few colors as possible. Having spent three weeks in sunny....HOT...Arizona, doing suns seemed like a no-brainer and gave me the chance to use this particular cutter. NFSC-style cookies with icing...

A trial run of the cookies I'll be making for my niece's wedding. Inspired by Nancy's Fancy's and Amifsud, I needed a less detailed design (I'll be making 200 of these!), and this is the design I came up with. I used a custom designed cutter, which...

Globalgatherings hired me to make some cookies for an attorney's retirement party. (Woo hoo! A paying cookie gig!) I didn't have a lot of time to spend on the design, and came up with the Scales of Justice. When I asked my husband what I should do,...

I saw two versions of this graphic and combined the elements from each that I liked best to come up with this design. (Strange, though, how the ladies posteriors seemed to enlarge during the baking process!) I'll post the template today in the...

I made a template and hand cut these cookies, using a photo of an actual gumball machine as my model. (The template was approximately 2 1/4" wide x 5" high.) The gumballs are mini-M&M's. I was going to do all the gumballs in icing, then...

I saw this design on a cake and thought it would make a cute cookie. Our office secretary collects anything with a cow motif, so I decided to make these for her. She's been going thru a rough patch in her life right now, and she needed a pick-me-up!...

I made these cookies for my MIL to serve at a luncheon. She'd been going on and on about how much gardening she's been doing, so I thought a garden gnome would be appropriate! I think they would've turned out better had they been a bit bigger, but...

I'm so bummed I couldn't get a decent picture of these cookies! It was either too blurry, or too dark. The design came from a greeting card, and I hand cut the cookies after making a template.

I did these for my husband and sons, who love robots. I hand cut the cookie, and once baked and cooled, drew the details with a food decorating pen. Then I filled in with glace icing, outlining when the icing was set.

Sure would love to see cookies organized and categorized like the cakes are! Would be so much easier to navigate through to find exactly what you are looking for! So many beautiful cookies with such talent - just as wonderful as the cakes. Think they deserve their very own spotlight as well!! :)
