My daughter wanted a cookie to show how much she loves to read, so we saw this on Polka Dot Zebra's flickr stream and decided to make them. It would have been all well and good had we not needed so many - but 48 hand cut cookies is too much! I was ok with them - but if it were a smaller amount, I would have taken so much longer and been more precise.

NFSC w/MMF and royal. Next time shredded paper instead of tissue paper. It's a bit too flat, right?

Chocolate covered Nutter Butters for a fall party. I wouldn't normally upload something like this, but the flowers (gumpaste) were pastel (from the teacup cookies I just uploaded) and I didn't want to make new ones. So I brushed on Aztec gold luster dust and voila. Fall-like colors and super easy. I love the luster dusts! I tried to paint on the chocolate with it (diluted in rum), but that was a no-go.

These were cookies for the teachers on the first day of school and for a back to school party for my daughter's playgroup. The tags had the kids names, a quote about friendship or a quip about how great the first day of school is for parents!

Chai NFSC w/Satin Ice fondant and RI for my hubby's 40th birthday. It's an Indian themed party, so I wanted paisley cookies, but this cutter was the closest I could find.

NFSC w/MMF and Satin Ice and some RI, too! For a little boy's adoption day party. The cookies were bagged up and tagged with a pirate joke on each. Such a fun event for a really cool family!

NFSC with MMF and RI and a wee bit of pearl dust for a friend's granddaughter's baptism. My friend saw and loved beachcake's cookies - so thanks beachcake for the inspiration!

This picture is driving me a bit bonkers - I had to play with it as it was oversaturated and the details on the basket didn't show up. It's MMF w/royal vines and buds. The basket texture was created with a "cake comb" and tweezers. So much cheaper than a basket rolling pin!

I've got lots of bib cookies in my pics, but I think these are the prettiest cookies I've ever made! For a baby shower where the sex of the baby is unknown, hence pink and blue with silver Zs (last name). NFSC, MMF, Antonia's royal icing and petal dust.

NFSC w/Antonia's Royal Icing. For a friend who is having brain surgery!!! Not so much because it's brain surgery, but because McDreamy is *not* her surgeon! I think if she's going to have her brain poked about, she deserves McDreamy (or his twin!).

NFSC w/MMF - I finally figured out that if I cut the MMF shapes, remove the excess and freeze the shapes, they won't distort when I place them on the cookies.

NFSC w/Antonia's icing. For my Grandmother who is a lovely, classy lady who is being turned into a human pincushion during a prolonged medical thing. I thought she'd appreciate the symbolism.

Sure would love to see cookies organized and categorized like the cakes are! Would be so much easier to navigate through to find exactly what you are looking for! So many beautiful cookies with such talent - just as wonderful as the cakes. Think they deserve their very own spotlight as well!! :)
