Just uploading this so I can analyze it with a fresh head from work tomorrow!  I refuse to let the dragon/castle cake get the better  of me and will be recreating it next weekend.  Practice gumpaste and fondant dragon.

This character has finally found her place on the cake.  Her wish list asked for the biggest most vulgar diamond.....I can tell you she got it!  I saw the ring today when the cake was collected by her partner!  WOW!

I make all my figures using fondant with hardener in it. I put them on an icing plaque which i also make.
I get alot of orders for making just their wedding toppers and also for birthday cakes figures objects etc.

I promise this is the last one this week!  I still have the cake to decorate but that can wait til tomorrow.  I don't normally finish a character in one day to allow time for the head to dry and set before I do the hair.  This girl has short hair but...

I could've done more with this design if the customer's budget was bigger!  I added a little more than was requested because I felt the cake was a little bare.....just like the character!

I started this design last week and was able to work on it in between other cakes!  At last it is complete and ready to collect tomorrow.  The TV had the X Factor on the screen but you can't see it from here.....it did though! :o)

i call these guys my funky spunky couple,  the bodies are from some previous toppers, i just changed the heads....lol.   i really dislike making clothes so this was the easy alternative....

1st time modelling with marzipan.  My god thats awful stuff, its crap to work with, hard to colour and is the worst thing I've ever tasted in my life, YUK!  
But I think it turned out ok..thanks for looking,  I think I'll stick to fondant.

The bear is 50/50 gumpaste/fondant with a white food color dot for the eyes.
The hat is gumpaste painted with petal dust diluted with clear vanilla
The bandanna is 50/50 gumpaste fondant painted with white food color.
