For my daughter's 2nd bday. I dropped the ball big time and got her a Costco cake for her 1st birthday (good in a pinch, but not for her 1st birthday ::::cringe cringe:::) so......I figured I'd better try really hard on her 2nd! Patterned after a lovely cake I saw here on CC by MelissaRHK. My baby loved it!

for my son's 6th birthday. I seem to be having one disaster after another lately! I didn't support the bird very well & it crashed through the cake under it. It was already 12:30 AM & I wasn't about to make another one, so I dumped the bottom cake in a 9 x 13 dish, frosted a dummy & called it a night. He never knew what happened! After hearing the story, our guests were more than happy to eat cake that looked like it had been thrown on the floor!

Getting lazy after the birth of my 4th child. My little boy turned 2 and I had NO time or energy to get fancy. Thank heavens he's too young to care - lol. It's chocolate, chocolate chip w/BC filling & frosting.

Wow...was this ever an interesting one to do. I had never tried to cover a cake w/fondant that was taller than it was wide. I was just grateful for Sponge Bob's spots because the fondant kept tearing...UGH! Thanks to thecakelady757 for the inspiration. My son fell in love with it - it was for his 5th birthday. Choc/choc chip w/BC. TFL ;o)

My 1st Barbie cake. This was soooo much fun to do. With all boys, I didn't figure I'd ever get to do one, so thanks to my friend for letting me do her little girl's birthday cake :o)

Strawberry w/cream cheese frosting. My 3 year old son requested a pink rainbow cake for his party. I couldn't bring myself to put a rainbow on pink frosting, so he told me it was ok to put the pink part on the inside. He's such a good boy to humor his mother that way!

My attempt at Nemo for my son's 2nd birthday. He turned out a little bug-eyed & looking more like Beast (Maggie & the Ferocious Beast), but my son didn't seem to mind. Choc choc chip cake & cuppies, BC icing.

My first CCC for my son's 3rd birthday. Had to laugh as I was about 1/2 way into the FBCT and realized I hadn't reversed the image! Since I was pressed for time I couldn't change it and figured he wouldn't care anyways so I left it! Thanks to everyone who left responses on my CCC thread. Ya'll were a big help. White and strawberry CCs w/BC.

For my friend's little girl's 3rd birthday. Been wanting to try a FBCT for a while and I have to say it was really fun to do. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius!!!! Can't wait to try another one. Thanks for looking.

Each of the 2 tiers & the balloons on top are confetti cake. All iced with buttercream icing. Sugar cookies iced in buttercream as well. I used plain old curling ribbon for the balloon strings.

Where is the search feature for the galleries now? Before we could put the theme and then all the relevant cakes appear.

I used the search on the top right of the page. Then the page give you some options like All/Product/Gallery Image. Select the one that you want and that's it!! =)

That search option doesn't appear to allow you to search within a search like before. I'm trying to search in Children's Birthday cakes, but only for girls. Yesterday I tried searching for a girl's b-day cake several ways, and one of the searches brought up several adult/naughty theme cake. I think I just searched girl birthday cake. That search also brought up wedding cakes, and some random halloween cakes. Before you could do a general search, then there was an option to search within the results to narrow it down more. Does anyone know if that feature still exists?

Bring back the old cake Central!! The gallery search is totally gone, that was one of the greatest features.
