The cake is dark chocolate with buttercream frosting and chocolate buttercream for the filling. It is a 9 x 13 inch pan on top of an 11 x 15. The wall is chocolate bark. (I poured it into the roof mold for a "gingerbread" candy house mold.) The boy and all other decorations are fondant. (It is the first time I molded a person and he ended up with one ear flattened. Just battle scars I guess. Many thanks to phoohbear and k-dub for the ideas.

I guess the first TT cake I made 2 years ago was beginner's luck! I somehow got this one lined up wrong and call it a "tipsy" cake as it all was basically toward the front! It is a 6', 8", and 10" - chocolate for the bottom cake and the rest yellow. Chocolate frosting for the filling (I find the children rather frosting than a filling.) The frosting is buttercream and all decorations are fondant, whch my granddaughter brushed quite a bit with peart dust. (My granddaughter designed it .)

This is another cake that I took on a 7 hour drive! Traveled as two cakes - base of 11x15" and top of 6" round. All devils food cake with buttercream frosting. The lettering and candle holders were fondant. The road was graham cracker crumbs. The rocks were thickened buttercream, then coated in sugar. After studying about every tank cake on here, my grandson (it was his 8th birthday) informed me that he wanted a "real" army tank, and I added the helicopter. His 3 1/2 year old sister helped me put all the decorations on the cake. It was an easy, fun cake to make (especially with my little helper!) but shows up as "awfully busy" in the pictures! Thanks for looking!

This was for my grandson's 5th bd. The Superman figurine is on top of a half ball pan. Think the base is 10 inch cake. I know the cake is chocolate, both filled and frosted with buttercream. After a 7-hour trip, little boys couldn't keep their fingers out of it! Kept patching it up until I said I wouldn't any more. Well, when my daughter got there she said I needed to patch it - they had dug a hole in the front of it! Just before the party my son decided he wanted the cake at a different location and when a friend moved it the figurine fell! Thanks for looking!

This is a cake I made a long time ago for a niece. It is a 10" square. The house is candy melts done in a mold. All frosting is buttercream. The little girl is a plastic figurine. Thanks for looking!

This is a cake I made years ago for a friend's daughter who's birthday is near Valentine's Day. It is all buttercream except for the hearts around the base of the cake that are gummy candies. Thanks for looking!

This is a cake I made years ago for a little great-nephew. It was done in the horseshoe pan and frosted with buttercream frosting. I used pretzels for the tree trunks and put toy cars on the "road." Thanks for looking!

This is the Ben 10 symbol and was made to go with the Ben 10 cake I made for my grandson. It was a yellow cake with buttercream frosting also used for the filling. (I find the children don't care for "fillings" so I always just use the frosting for their birthdays).

This is an 8" yellow cake on top of a 10" chocolate cake. The filling is same as the frosting - buttercream. The flowers, lettering, and skate are fondant and I used food coloring markers for outlining on the skate. Thanks for looking!

This was done for my grandson's birthday. (He placed the cars on top - therefore the "wreck" in the back!) The base is an 11 x 15" sheet cake topped with 8" round layers that I cut and pushed together to form the track. It is chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting. The stars and letters are fondant. Thanks for looking.

This is a 9 x 13 " sheet cake frosted with buttercream. It was the first time I used piping gel to transfer a pattern. I should have used white instead of green to frost the cake as the green began to seep through the picture.

This was for my granddaughter's birthday. She used a Polly Pocket theme and the party was at a ceramic place. The frosting is all buttercream with a real paint brush on the cake.

This was a cake I made for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday - she loved everything Dora at that time. The letters, flowers, and stars are fondant, all the rest is buttercream. Thanks for looking!

Base cake 12", then 8" and 6" cakes. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting for filling and regular buttercream frosting on cake. The base of towers and the flags are fondant. Also has fondant flowers around base of castle and small fondant hearts under the windows but the (plastic) princesses are positioned so that the picture doesn't show them. The top of towers are sugar ice cream cones. (A 7 hour ride didn't help the frosting!)

Where is the search feature for the galleries now? Before we could put the theme and then all the relevant cakes appear.
indianacakesbylisa 11/1/12 at 3:04pm
I would also love to find out about this feature!!!!!!!!! :-)
Sweet_Cake 11/1/12 at 4:04pm
I used the search on the top right of the page. Then the page give you some options like All/Product/Gallery Image. Select the one that you want and that's it!! =)
Yeloroz65 11/2/12 at 7:33am
That search option doesn't appear to allow you to search within a search like before. I'm trying to search in Children's Birthday cakes, but only for girls. Yesterday I tried searching for a girl's b-day cake several ways, and one of the searches brought up several adult/naughty theme cake. I think I just searched girl birthday cake. That search also brought up wedding cakes, and some random halloween cakes. Before you could do a general search, then there was an option to search within the results to narrow it down more. Does anyone know if that feature still exists?
