I was asked to make a cake like my High School Musical cake, but Camp Rock instead. Wasn't even sure what Camp Rock was. I'm so not cool with the 10 year old crowd!

This is for a 1 year old's birthday. Mom says he likes balloons, so that's what I went with. Mom aske for this color scheme-she's an interior decorator and knows what she's talkin' 'bout. Love these colors!

I HATE the kitty but I was pretty happy with the cake design. I was lazy last night and put off doing the figure so that's the price I pay when I wait till the last minute!

My first doll cake. Had to use a couple of rounds under the wondermold because the barbie was so tall. I think the barbie really made the cake. She's so pretty compared to those doll picks.

Another request for this cake, just smaller. I was a little bummed that when I colored my gumpaste for bows and swags that even though it looked like a nice contrast in color, onece it was applied the color looked almost exactly the same as the...

When my cousin sent me the picture of the figure her son wanted I was not too excited. This little guy was not so easy. The kids liked it, though, and that's what it's all about.

I spent all kinds of time coloring the perfect three shades of pink for this cake and then when the luster dust went on the variation was all gone. I was so bummed. Oh well. Once again, live and learn.

First time ever I put the fondant on perfectly in the first shot! I was so happy until I put my finger in the side of the cake trying to turn it. Dang! I was a little disappointed with how my ball drooped on the bottom half even before I put the...

For a 4 year old girl who likes princesses, and Hello Kitty. Her mother tells me that she was adopted from China and that the ladybug is a national symbol of good luck. First time doing swags....I'll get it right eventually.

One of three cakes I had to do last night. I couldn't start earlier because of sudden obligations that arose. I was stressed to the max and got 4 hours sleep. Yawn! Time for bed....

This cake sent me to bed crying at 2 a.m. last night. I started stripping all of its buttercream off and throwing it away b/c I could not get it smoothed to my satisfaction. My first tears shed over a cake (one of three I had to do last night! Ya...

Thanks to manders and aine2 for their inspirational animal pics. This is for my boss' grandson's birthday. All she told me, design wise, was that she wanted a 1 topper. So this is what I came up with. I hope she likes it.

My nephew asked for the cheetos car from Herbie Fully Loaded. I had no idea what he was talking about and had to go rent the movie. This was a big learning experience, but fun.

This was a tough one. Used boxed cake which was way too soft to stand up on the dowels which poked through the barn and needed to be "covered" with icing. The animals are all royal icing, which was fun, but I can see from others on this...

This was taken from a Witon yearbook. I misread the directions and made 3 torte layers rather than six full layers (too much cake!) but couldn't figure out why I didn't have enough room between the layers for the swags. It was my first all mmf cake...

Where is the search feature for the galleries now? Before we could put the theme and then all the relevant cakes appear.
indianacakesbylisa 11/1/12 at 3:04pm
I would also love to find out about this feature!!!!!!!!! :-)
Sweet_Cake 11/1/12 at 4:04pm
I used the search on the top right of the page. Then the page give you some options like All/Product/Gallery Image. Select the one that you want and that's it!! =)
Yeloroz65 11/2/12 at 7:33am
That search option doesn't appear to allow you to search within a search like before. I'm trying to search in Children's Birthday cakes, but only for girls. Yesterday I tried searching for a girl's b-day cake several ways, and one of the searches brought up several adult/naughty theme cake. I think I just searched girl birthday cake. That search also brought up wedding cakes, and some random halloween cakes. Before you could do a general search, then there was an option to search within the results to narrow it down more. Does anyone know if that feature still exists?
lsfas 11/2/12 at 3:02pm
