This is my 2nd spider cake. Friend saw my first one and asked if I would make another for his daughters birthday. With the extra batter, I made her some fly cupcakes to go with the spider, cause spiders have to eat too. If you want any info on how this was made, just check out the comments on my first spider. Thanks for looking.

Made this cake for my family's Thanksgiving dinner. The bottom layer is apple caramel, the body is devils food, the stump is chocolate brownie, the leaves are molded candy wafers, the feathers are chocolate, and the head is modeling chocolate over a chocolate covered pretzel rod.

I started out wanting to make a porcupine cake. It was going really good until I took the cake to work and everyone thought it was a hedgehog. I had to agree with them that it looks more like a hedgehog than a porcupine. So no I refer to it as the porcuhog cake. Cake was chocolate fudge with chocolate fudge icing. Used half of the sports ball pan to make the body. Spikes are slivered almonds, eyes are Reese Pieces, and nose is a raisin. Covered base with a second layer of green (grass) icing for decoration.
