This was for a competition. I entered it in the all buttercream category (which includes the board). I hand painted the wood-grain board (coloring gel on buttercream). The boot straps are embossed. I used brush embroidery (for the first time) on...

A cake for my neice who loves horseback riding. Her birthday is a few days after her twin brother and sister and she usually gets the short end of the stick with the cake so I thought this year I would make a special effort for her too.

The cake was made with 3 half sheet cakes and 3 8 inch square cakes. Covered in fondant and airbrushed. The tires are made of chocolate, that back tire alone weighs 6 lbs, that's a lot of modeling chocolate.

I made these for a grooms cake. The cake was pretty plain but the guns stood out more because of it. I would have preferred to have more decorations on the cake I think.

I need to make a pair of western boots for an upcoming birthday, can you give me the details on how you did yours do you have a tutorial?....would greatly appreciate your help

the large 3 d boot was my first try..
I took my daughters boot and set it on the counter
I took my oval cake and started carving
I used the standard method for building a cake... the dowels and hard plates stacked until it looked like it was tall enough then carved more and iced with all butter buttercream, decorated with with the edible pearls ect.
the ben and whitney is just a wilton cake pan.
I am sorry I do not have a tutorial.. I was nervous about transport and decided to freeze it overnight and it was thawed by the time we cut it!
