Another cowboy hat, this time done as a calvary hat, so the brim needed to be flat and the crown of the hat carved a bit differently. The groom provided the calvary pin to be used on the hat.

This was the 1st cake I made for our western themed fundraiser. This sold for $15, and the lady purposely left it there because it wasn't 'fresh'. Expects me to make her another cake just like this one whenever she wants it. There is a post on...

This is a cake I did for a girl's 17th birthday. It's all buttercream with fondant accents. I got part of the idea from another cake I saw here on CC. Thanks!

This was done for a boy turning 18, who couldn't wait to go back to bull riding. The accents are all gumpaste and Satinice (my 1st time using it and it's GREAT, my new best friend!!!!) Thanks for looking.

I need to make a pair of western boots for an upcoming birthday, can you give me the details on how you did yours do you have a tutorial?....would greatly appreciate your help

the large 3 d boot was my first try..
I took my daughters boot and set it on the counter
I took my oval cake and started carving
I used the standard method for building a cake... the dowels and hard plates stacked until it looked like it was tall enough then carved more and iced with all butter buttercream, decorated with with the edible pearls ect.
the ben and whitney is just a wilton cake pan.
I am sorry I do not have a tutorial.. I was nervous about transport and decided to freeze it overnight and it was thawed by the time we cut it!
