Edible image on top of cake, used stencil and spray food coloring to place the horses on each side (wish I had an airbrush!). Cake is chocolate hazelnut with mexican vanilla buttercream trimmed in chocolate rope borders. Thanks for looking!

I had trouble with the fondant (I just can't seem to get the hang of it!) so I had to come up with creative ways to cover up the cracks and seams, hence the star and bandana.

I made this as a practice cake. The inspiration comes from Joannah in the galleries. Her cake is so much better. I made the hat earlier in the week and as you can see, it is too big. Next time I will make the hat smaller or use a bigger pan. I...

This is a close up of the top of my Marilyn Monroe Graduation cake. Please see other pic for the full cake. She is made from chocolate. I wanted it to have that kind of ripped paper look so that is why she isn't smooth on the sides. Thanks for looking :)

I need to make a pair of western boots for an upcoming birthday, can you give me the details on how you did yours do you have a tutorial?....would greatly appreciate your help
annettesings 4/30/13 at 7:43pm
the large 3 d boot was my first try..
I took my daughters boot and set it on the counter
I took my oval cake and started carving
I used the standard method for building a cake... the dowels and hard plates stacked until it looked like it was tall enough then carved more and iced with all butter buttercream, decorated with with the edible pearls ect.
the ben and whitney is just a wilton cake pan.
I am sorry I do not have a tutorial.. I was nervous about transport and decided to freeze it overnight and it was thawed by the time we cut it!
