A heart-shaped cake covered in red fondant and decorated with buttercream dragons and flames.  The Chinese character "fu" means good luck.  The writing was painted on with black food colouring.

I made this cake to celebrate my sister getting her black belt.  I used Wilton fondant - white for the jacket and the pre-colored black for the belt.  She loved it!

i  was in vegas all week.. got home on thursdayt night, this cake was for friday afternoon.. talk about a rush cake.. but i love it.. the dragon on the top is out of fondant that i brushed with gold dust

I made this cake to celebrate the New Year with my family.  They really liked the Rooster.  I used color flow to create the rooster.

The crane is origami made from a square piece of very thin MMF. Very pleased this worked!! Gold luster dust adorns the crane and top of the cake. I spilled some and had to make it look intentional. :)

Not really a cake, but chocolate candy clay rolled with white coconut and dried apricot center. Recipe for making candy clay is on Wilton's website.

Decided to post this here, also, because it was made specifically for a Chinese theme party. Dragon is buttercream frosting with white chocolate lavendar colored spikes.  He's made from an 8" round, a 9" long oval, and 2 cupcakes.
