Inspiration came from Sugarshack's beach cake. It is chocolate cake covered in fondant with choc fudge filling. I made this for a wonderful family that is moving up North for a Sea Change. They are dear friends and I wanted to do something special for their farewell party.

Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream covered in fondant. The mermaid and the octopus are gumpaste the rest of the details are royal icing.
