Thank you again susgene for your help in creating these little dogs. My book club read the memoir Three Dog Day and I thought this would be a perfect dessert to bring. The box is a cupcake box that Martha Stewart makes and it was a perfect  fit..

I saw something similar in a magazine and made a couple of changes on it. The bees are tootsie rolls with gum drop wings. They were a lot of fun to make!

I used a dirt cake recipe, but substituted regular oreo cookies with vanilla oreo cookies and turned it into a sand cake for a beach theme.  The sandals are from a Wilton candy mold.
