I made this cake for my daughter's 8th grade graduation party. She wanted something with summer-y or spring-y colors, so we didn't do a traditional "graduation" cake (we'll save that for when she graduates high school!). With all of the party planning I was short on time, so I re-purposed some anemones I had left over from another project. I dusted them with bright pink and a touch of purple, then painted the edges and centers silver. I started with the flowers and designed the cake around that! The cake is tiny 8"-6"-4" rounds :)

I made this cake for a Christening this past Sunday. My client requested a pretty and feminine cake for her daughter, this is what I came up with. It is fondant covered with gumpaste decorations. The cross is hand made out of gumpaste and painted with super pearl. The ribbon border and bows are fondant and all of the blossoms are gumpaste. The bottom tier is embossed with a quilted pattern and has small, white sugar pearls and white gumpaste blossoms at the cross points. I am thrilled with how this cake came out!

This was a little cake that I made for a jewelry party I was having. I don't really know how to describe the look I was after... maybe "Modern Victorian". The cameo and anemones are gumpaste and there is stenciling on the side.
