Chocolate cake with Nutella filling and crumb coat, covered with marshmallow fondant. The moon and sillhouettes are gumpaste strengthened by bonding rice paper to the front and back. The rice paper made it easier to handpaint the gumpaste pieces without causing them to weaken and collapse. I did them a week in advance. The rocks and grass are a mix of fondant and candy clay. The water is hand painted with Wilton gels mixed with vodka.
