This is a Grinchmas cake which was originally for my friend's Grinchmas party but due to the fact I had supplies UPS has lost in shipment and had to order others, I didn't have it ready in time so I repurposed for the Whoville 5k I was running in the next day, so that worked out! The cake is 3 tiered (top 2 are my 1st topsy turvy type style). All frosting is buttercream (smoothed with Viva towels) and the figures are gumpaste/fondant mixed (well actually just fondant with a lesser degree of tylose powder needed for gumpaste). The only non-edible part was the wire and hooks on Max the dog.
