This is my grand-daughters fifth birthday cake. Wish I had close-ups, did it in a kind of theme park theme. She loves fairies and unicorns, so I did the carousel with the unicorn riding around instead of horses, and the fairies, walking around the park, and walking up the steps. I also made little edible theme park games for the fairies to play, like the ring toss game which I made from edible peppermint sticks, and jelly rings. There was also a popcorn stand , a miniature golf game (this was the only thing inedible), and a balloon stand made with mini candies in different shapes. The whole carousel lit up, which my grand-daughter loved., and everyone was in awe. It was like the real thing. My husband built the light system which we could turn on and off as we needed, and we could use at another time per the occasion. The only thing missing was music. That would have been a real blast.
