Cake is iced with buttercream. Towers are hollow gumpaste, turrets are fondant covered sugar cones, dusted with luster dust, and flowers are fondant as well.

I've done one pirate ship previously, so I thought I'd try doing one with less details and almost totally out of buttercream this time. Thanks karennayak for all your help!

I made this cake for my sister-in-law's baby shower. It's WASC with strawberry filling and cream cheese frosting. I made the fondant from Michele Foster's recipe. First time using that recipe, and I LOVE it! I got some great tips from the castle...

This is my first pirate ship cake. The kraken's tenticles are gumpaste, the water is piping gel. Ship is covered in fondant and all decorations are fondant as well.
