This is my grandson's 4th Birthday cake. The top tier is a copy of his little pirate hat! He hasn't seen this yet but I'm sure he'll think this IS his hat....just hope he doesn't try to wear it! Ha!

This is a character from In the Night Garden...a kiddies TV programme. Not the type of cake I like or choose to do but couldn't say no to the family who asked for it. If it makes a 2 year old happy then who am I to say no!

This is Iggle Piggle from The Night Garden for my grandson's 1st birthday tomorrow. I can't believe a whole year has passed already! The body is cake and the head, arms and legs are fondant.

I finished my grandson's birthday cake today. I made the cake in a pyrex bowl and layered it twice, filled with vanilla buttercream...not the most adventurous, I know, but I made up for it in the decoration! I used new snowflake cutters on this...

I was asked to incorporate a Gremlin with Livingston Football Club so I came up with this! It is a chocolate cake with chocolate b/c filling. I drew the gremlin onto a card and used it as a template to cut out the head. It isn't a proper body at...

I made this from an 8" round and 2 x 5" round madeira cakes. I used a picture from Debbiedoescakes for Mickey's expression as her Mickey cake is so fabulous! (hip hip hooray Debbie!) This cake is all fondant covered and I used a sugar...

This was a bit of a challenge. I couldn't find a decent picture of the cottage on google so I used a giant floor jigsaw puzzle image! The spout has a dowel through it, right down to the board. Other than that, the rest is edible. Fifi took me...

This is two sponge cakes layered with buttercream and covered with sugarpaste. The towers are hollow and are made from strengthened sugarpaste. (added CMC powder or Tylose as you may know it) The turrets are ice cream cones covered in paste. It's...

Courtesy of Debbie Brown's party cakes. The ideal solution when pushed for time! I changed it just a little making a different pathway and adding flowers and sparkle.

This is straight out of Debbie Brown's Enchanted Cakes except the wizard from another of her projects was added to this one. Considering that the witch is meant to be flying around the moon on her broomstick, the wizard doesn't really look...

This is not my own design...although I wish it was! It is originally Debbie Brown's castle with a few minor adjustments or deletions. It was a wonderful cake to recreate. All sponge cake, including the castle, covered in vanilla buttercream and...

Kind of a Barbie doll cake...only without the doll! The cake is vanilla sponge and is made from a 2.2 litre bowl cake and a 1.5 litre bowl cake. The "doll" is made from sugarpaste and the only part which isn't edible is the tiara which is...
