Ok, 2nd attempt at the BCT...loved it this time!!! This is just practice for the 'real' cake in a week. It's a cupcake cake, and my 1st time doing one. Not sure what to do w/the icing sinking inbetween the cupcakes where they didn't meet, but...

This was my first time using gumpaste and doing a bow. Next time I don't think I'll use white "glue" for the bow, but at least it was fun to practice!

This is just a little cake that I did for my daughter's first day of preschool. I was using up some left over icing, so my colors were a little limited, but she loved it, and that's all that really mattered.

The theme of our fair was "Get Wild with Your Inner Child" and dinosaurs. So I tried to use that in a cake idea.
The cakes are dummies. The frosting is just crisco buttercream. The dinosaurs are dyed candy melts.
It won a blue ribbon...

These were cupcakes make for daycare. They were studying bugs and other critters and I thought these would be fun. They loved them! They even sent home pictures of the kids with frosting covered faces, just too cute!

This was a cake I made for my friend who is a realtor and had just sold a house to some clients. She wanted the cake give to the family's children to welcome them to the neighborhood. This is a piping gel transfer as I have not mastered the FBCT yet.

This was my first cupcake cake. It was easy to do, but I think next time I will try not staggering the cupcakes to get a more uniform square look.
