Your linework is incredible! I have a lot of respect for that kind of stringworking. Gives me inspiration!

Okay, this is all you're going to get. I have one more tier to put on. I shouldn't have even shown you all this much. I typically wait until after the show but if I did that with this I might not want to show it . You can tell I have confidence! I have so many of you out there in Cake Central land that have taken an interest in my project that I figured I owed you all this shot.

Okay so this is my very first try at a Lambeth base border on a bevel. Need to work on my bevel angle more but I think it turned out okay for my very first attempt.

Okay, so here is a top border. I still have another layer to this top border to put on. I am still pulling strings off! I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with them! UGH! It's difficult to keep them consistent!

So far, this is my final design on the bottom tier of my Lambeth show cake. It is far far from perfect but I don't think it's too bad for a beginner. I'm pretty positive I am already out of the running for placement but I didn't spend three days doing this one tier to not enter it. I have three more tiers to go! Wish me luck!

Here is more detail on my show cake entry. Still two more tiers to go including finishing this one. Just wanted to post this for those who have encouraged me throughout this entire project.

Alright, I think I did a pretty good job of my version of the Lambeth technique with a little bit of Australian stringwork included. Hailspotting on the curtain work.
